abstract = "Our objective was to produce a map of bigger risk of fire
occurrence areas of the REBIO Guapor{\'e} through the use of NOAA
- 12 data integrated with Registers of Fire Occurrence - ROI of
Prevfogo/IBAMA database. We used a simple methodology of
integration of these data in softwares as ENVI 4.3, ArcView 3.2
and ArcGIS 9.0. The bigger risk areas are those that present
greater human interference degree, bigger number of ROI and
greater number of heat focus detected by the satellite. The field
information confirms that these areas are mainly located in the
east portion of the Reserve. The data of the NOAA - 12 had
revealed sufficiently satisfactory for this type of mapping.",
