             abstract = "This work evaluates the spatial scales of the Brazil Current 
                         meanders, using the Fast Fourier Transform analysis. The thermal 
                         fronts of the Brazil Current were digitized on the Sea Surface 
                         Temperature (SST) AVHRR images, using 371 images between 1993 and 
                         2001. The results of this analyses indicated that the main spatial 
                         scales were 200 and 400 kilometers.",
