                         m{\'e}dias e altas latitudes do hemisf{\'e}rio norte, 
                         atrav{\'e}s do mecanismo de for{\c{c}}amento lateral. Com base 
                         em BUCHMANN [1], foi elaborado um modelo matem{\'a}tico de 
                         equa{\c{c}}{\~o}es primitivas de duas camadas. A 
                         condi{\c{c}}{\~a}o de contorno na fronteira voltada para o 
                         hemisf{\'e}rio norte {\'e} do tipo estado b{\'a}sico mais 
                         pertuba{\c{c}}{\~a}o estacion{\'a}ria (componente de maior 
                         amplitude oriunda da an{\'a}lise de Fourier das velocidades). A 
                         solu{\c{c}}{\~a}o {\'e} obtida integrando-se no tempo, a partir 
                         de um campo inicial em balan{\c{c}}o geostr{\'o}fico. Ap{\'o}s 
                         5-6 dias de integra{\c{c}}{\~a}o atingiu-se uma 
                         configura{\c{c}}{\~a}o dos campos quase estacion{\'a}ria, 
                         confinada na regi{\~a}o equatorial, mostrando, conforme MAK [5], 
                         a poss{\'{\i}}vel exist{\^e}ncia de intera{\c{c}}{\~a}o entre 
                         os movimentos de latitudes m{\'e}dias e os tr{\'o}picos. 
                         Constatou-se, no caso chuvoso (seco), uma converg{\^e}ncia no 
                         n{\'{\i}}vel de 750 mb relativamente menos (mais) a oeste do 
                         litoral norte do Nordeste brasileiro, indicando, ao n{\'{\i}}vel 
                         de 500 mb, movimentos ascendentes mais (menos) intensos 
                         pr{\'o}ximos ao litoral e na pr{\'o}pria regi{\~a}o mais ao 
                         norte para o caso chuvoso (seco).This work studies the occurence 
                         of drought and rain anomalies in the Northeast Brazil, which could 
                         be caused by variations in the synoptic pressure systems located 
                         at middle an high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere, trought 
                         the mechanism of lateral forcing. A two-layer primitive equations 
                         model was used to simulate the coupling mechanism between tropics 
                         and extratropics as in BUCHMANN [1]. The northern boundary 
                         condiction in the Northern Hemisphere used is a basic state plus 
                         the largest stationary perturbation whose amplitude was obtained 
                         throught a Fourier analysis of the velocities. A solution, 
                         confined to the equatorial region, was obtained after 5-6 days of 
                         integration, in accordance with MAK [5]. This show a probable 
                         interaction between the middle latitude flows and the tropics. In 
                         the rainy (dry) case convergence was obtaines at 750 mb level, 
                         respectively more (less) to the west relative to the north coast 
                         of the Northeast region. At the 500 mb level vertical motions 
                         observed more (less) intense near the coast an dthe northern part 
                         of the region of the rain (dry) case.",
