             abstract = "This paper analyses the information content of several statistical 
                         sources for the classification of multilook fully polarimetric SAR 
                         data. The information is modeled and used in the form of 
                         statistical models, and describes context (using the Potts model) 
                         and observations in polarimetric imagery. The data are described 
                         using multivariate Gaussian laws and full multilook polarimetric 
                         distributions arising from the multiplicative model. L band, C 
                         band and both bands are used to assess the influence of 
                         dimensionality on the classification. A new distribution for the 
                         full multilook complex polarimetric matrix is used with excellent 
                         results. Results show that both context and number of frequencies 
                         contribute for better classification products, and that a careful 
                         statistical description of the data leads to improved results.",
