                         pertencentes {\`a} rede de monitoramento do Instituto Nacional de 
                         Meteorologia (INMET), coletadas nas esta{\c{c}}{\~o}es 
                         climatol{\'o}gicas principais localizadas nos munic{\'{\i}}pios 
                         de Belo Horizonte, Florestal, Oliveira e Sete Lagoas, no 
                         per{\'{\i}}odo de 1961 a 2009. Para an{\'a}lise de 
                         tend{\^e}ncia da varia{\c{c}}{\~a}o de temperatura extremas, 
                         foram aplicados os m{\'e}todos estat{\'{\i}}sticos a 
                         an{\'a}lise de regress{\~a}o e o teste n{\~a}o-param{\'e}trico 
                         de MannKendall. Observou-se aumentos significativos das 
                         temperaturas m{\'{\i}}nimas e m{\'a}ximas anuais, 
                         respectivamente, para as esta{\c{c}}{\~o}es meteorol{\'o}gicas 
                         estudadas do estado de Minas Gerais, identificadas com boa 
                         concord{\^a}ncia por ambos os testes estat{\'{\i}}sticos 
                         aplicados. Em geral, os testes de Mann-Kendall e as an{\'a}lises 
                         de regress{\~a}o linear apresentam concord{\^a}ncia, auxiliando 
                         na identifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o de tend{\^e}ncias de s{\'e}ries 
                         temporais. ABSTRACT: It was aimedwith this work to analyze the 
                         existence of temporal trend in the historical series of maximum 
                         and minimum air temperature, in four cities of Minas Gerais state, 
                         considering the annual scale. Daily historical series of maximum 
                         and minimum air temperature were used, which belongs to 
                         themonitoring network of the National Institute of Meteorology 
                         (INMET), collected at the main weather stations located in the 
                         cities of Belo Horizonte, Florestal, Oliveira and SeteLagoas, in 
                         the period from 1961 to 2009. To analyze the extreme temperatures 
                         variation trend, statistical methods of regression analysis and 
                         non-parametric Mann-Kendall test were applied. Significant 
                         increases in annual minimum and maximum annual temperatures were 
                         observed for the studied weather stations of Minas Gerais state, 
                         identified with good agreement for both statistical tests applied. 
                         Overall, the Mann-Kendall tests and the linear regression analyses 
                         present agreement, helping in the identification of the historical 
                         series trend.",
