                         brasileiro. A popula{\c{c}}{\~a}o rural {\'e} mais 
                         vulner{\'a}vel {\`a}s sucessivas secas porque dependem da 
                         atividade agropecu{\'a}ria e do regime de chuvas. Este trabalho 
                         tem o objetivo de identificar a vulnerabilidade e a capacidade de 
                         adapta{\c{c}}{\~a}o {\`a}s varia{\c{c}}{\~o}es 
                         clim{\'a}ticas em 300 munic{\'{\i}}pios dos estados de Alagoas, 
                         Cear{\'a}, Para{\'{\i}}ba, Pernambuco, Piau{\'{\i}} e Rio 
                         Grande do Norte. Os resultados mostram que a seca 
                         meteorol{\'o}gica e a vulnerabilidade social s{\~a}o 
                         heterog{\^e}neas entre munic{\'{\i}}pios. Os 
                         munic{\'{\i}}pios mais vulner{\'a}veis s{\~a}o aqueles onde a 
                         maioria da popula{\c{c}}{\~a}o reside no campo, mais de 30% dela 
                         {\'e} dedicada a atividades agropecu{\'a}rias, a produtividade 
                         {\'e} baixa e a produ{\c{c}}{\~a}o agr{\'{\i}}cola {\'e} 
                         pouco diversificada. Os munic{\'{\i}}pios menos vulner{\'a}veis 
                         est{\~a}o localizados em regi{\~o}es abastecidas por bacias 
                         hidrogr{\'a}ficas e/ou grandes reservat{\'o}rios, desenvolvem 
                         a{\c{c}}{\~o}es de adapta{\c{c}}{\~a}o a partir da 
                         organiza{\c{c}}{\~a}o da sociedade civil, al{\'e}m de contarem 
                         com sistema de irriga{\c{c}}{\~a}o que permite a maior 
                         diversifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o da produ{\c{c}}{\~a}o e melhores 
                         respostas {\`a} seca. Na {\'u}ltima seca (2012-2014), houve uma 
                         distribui{\c{c}}{\~a}o irregular do volume da 
                         precipita{\c{c}}{\~a}o entre munic{\'{\i}}pios e 
                         microrregi{\~o}es, e os impactos na produ{\c{c}}{\~a}o 
                         agropecu{\'a}ria foram bastante heterog{\^e}neos. N{\~a}o 
                         h{\'a} uma rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o linear e proporcional entre a 
                         intensidade da seca e perdas socioecon{\^o}micas, pois o acesso 
                         {\`a} {\'a}gua {\'e} desigual e a capacidade de 
                         adapta{\c{c}}{\~a}o {\`a}s condi{\c{c}}{\~o}es adversas do 
                         clima {\'e} distinta at{\'e} na escala municipal. ABSTRACT: In 
                         recent decades droughts have occurred more frequently and 
                         intensively in several countries and in the Brazilian Northeast. 
                         The rural population is the most affected by successive droughts 
                         because they depend on agricultural activity and rainfall. This 
                         work aims to identify the vulnerability and adaptive capacity to 
                         climate variations in 300 semiarid municipalities in the states of 
                         Alagoas, Cear{\'a}, Para{\'{\i}}ba, Pernambuco, Piau{\'{\i}} 
                         and Rio Grande do Norte. The results show that drought and social 
                         vulnerability are heterogeneous among municipalities. The most 
                         vulnerable are those towns where most of the population lives in 
                         the countryside, more than 30% of it devoted to agricultural 
                         activities, the productivity is low and the agricultural 
                         production little diversified thus the vulnerability indicator 
                         tends to be higher. The less vulnerable municipalities of eastern 
                         Cear{\'a} and western Rio Grande do Norte are located in regions 
                         supplied by river basins and/or large reservoirs besides that they 
                         count on irrigation systems that allow for greater diversification 
                         of production and improved responses to drought episodes. In the 
                         last drought (2012-2014), there was an uneven distribution of the 
                         rainfall volume among municipalities and micro-regions, and so 
                         impacts on agricultural production were quite heterogeneous. There 
                         is no linear and proportional relationship between drought 
                         intensity and socioeconomic loss because the access to water is 
                         crucial to adverse weather condition adaptation.",
