ResumoThe INPE-UFSM's NANOSATC-BR, CubeSats Development Program consists in a Capacity Building by the development of space science and technologies in the form of nanosatellites, with the integration of several Brazilian institutions as the National Institute for Space Research INPE/MCTI, the Federal University of Santa Maria UFSM, the Santa Maria Design House SMDH and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul UFRGS. The first Brazilian scientific university Cubesat, NANOSATC-BR1, was launched in June 19th, 2014, by a DNPER launcher at the Yasny Launch Base, Russia. Since the launching, the Project produced already a large database from the three payloads onboard: one magnetometer - XEN-1210 and two radiation resistant chips: MIPS and SMDH ASIC. The NANOSATC-BR1 is used by the SMDH chip as an environmental test and space qualifying process, which is intended to detect the fault transient type (bit-flip) related with Single Event Effects (SEE) events along with performance degradation originated by accumulated dose. The main objectives of this chip is the functional validation of cell library created to enable the design of radiation tolerant circuits, where the on-off driver is the first of these circuits designed in Brazil, and obtain through radiation test in Earth the first results of the cell library tolerance to the effects of ionizing radiation, more precisely the Total Ionization Effects (TID) and SEE effects. This paper presents the first observational results by this technological payload onboard of NANOSATC-BR1 and the correlation of these data with solar activities in order to validate the operation with the system and generate new techniques for future Brazilian space missions with chips resistant to radiation and other systems.

ResumoThe five telescopes of the GMDN are able to observe CMEs about 20 hours in advance. Detailed studies of the long duration measurements are explained. Special events are described in more details. Hints for correlations between cosmic ray muon measurements and Earthquake observations are summarized as well. The GMDN space weather service and educational activities at DLR Institute of Space Systems Bremen will be displayed.

ResumoThe NANOSATC-BR1 is the first Brazilian scientific university nanosatellite and the first Cubesat of the NANOSATC-BR, Cubesats Development Program. It has been designed and executed in the facilities built on the partnership between the Southern Regional Space Research Center from the National Institute for Space Research and the Santa Maria Space Science Laboratory from the Technological Center at the Federal University of Santa Maria (CRS/INPE-MCTI x LACESM/CT-UFSM). The NANOSATC-BR1 main scientific objectives are to monitor the Earth's Magnetosphere over the Brazilian Territory and the determination of their effects on regions such as the South American Magnetic Anomaly (SAMA). NANOSATC-BR Program has two complete and equal Ground Stations systems, equipped with three antennas, which receives the UHF, VHF and S-Band radio signals, rotors, control box and a rack which is the interface to control the rotors, radio, transceiver and orbit prediction. Both systems are full Azimuth and Elevation tracking stations. One of the Ground Stations system is installed in the Southern Regional Center for Space Research CRS/INPE-MCTI building, in Santa Maria, RS, and the another one is installed in the Electronic Engineering course building at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics ITA/DCTA in São José dos Campos, São Paulo. This paper aims to present the influence of solar activity on small satellite missions through the tracking and control experience observed by the NANOSATC-BR1 mission. The selected period of analysis is from June 2014 to September 2014. The monitoring operations along with the satellite housekeeping and the solar activity data analysis are presented.

ResumoThe Geomagnetic Field over the Brazilian sector of the South American Magnetic Anomaly (SAMA) has been monitored by the NANOSATC-BR Ground Stations Network it is based on the INPE-UFSM's NANOSATC-BR, CubeSats Development & Capacity Building Integrated Programs on space science, engineering and computing sciences for the development of space technologies, through CubeSats nanosatellites and the qualification of new young scientists & technologists for the Brazilian Space Program. These Programs have two operational tracking ground stations (GS) with communications designed for small satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), using radio amateur frequencies from IARU - International Amateur Radio Union, such as CubeSats for use in university environments, as UFSM, ITA and INPE in Brazil. It is a compact turnkey setup and Global Educational Network for Satellite Operations (GENSO), with VHF/UHF band and S-band antennas, one GS(INPE-CRS) in Santa Maria, RS, Lat: 29.4245º S, Long 53.4303º W, and a second one GS(INPE-ITA) in São José dos Campos, SP, Lat: 23.2090º S, Long 45.8745º W, both dedicated for the monitoring and tracking of the first two CubeSats of these Programs: NANOSATC-BR1 (1U) launched into a LEO orbit from the Russian Yasny Launch Base by a DNEPR launch vehicle on June 19th, 2014, as the first Brazilian scientific university CubeSat and a NANOSATC-BR2 (2U) with launching planed for the end of 2015. These CubeSats are expected to operate in orbit for about 12 months each. These Programs which have the support from The Brazilian Space Agency (AEB), with its NANOSATC-BR Brazilian Ground Stations Network and the first observational results of the Geomagnetic Field monitoring over the Brazilian SAMA region are presented.

ResumoThe work present an overview of the scientific and technologic payloads that are being used for environment test, onboard of the INPE-UFSM's NANOSATC-BR1, the first Brazilian scientific university CubeSat in space orbit. The NANOSATC-BR1 was launched from the Russian Yasny Launch Base on June 19th 2014 and are composed by two radiation resistant chips, MIPS and SMDH ASIC, intended to study the Total Ionization Effects (TID) and instantaneous radiation dose effects known as Single Event Effects (SEE). In addition, the geomagnetic field has been monitored by a XEN-1210 magnetometer. Data error rate, degradation and geomagnetic field data are being collected an analyzed in order to provide a better understanding of the Geospace, mainly in the South American Magnetic Anomaly (SAMA) region over the Brazilian sector, which has the most impact on satellites passing directly through it. The NANOSATC-BR CubeSat Development Program with its NANOSATC-BR Brazilian Ground Stations Network is been supported by the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB).

ResumoThe nanosatellites like the CubeSat class are been the fastest way to the development of new space technologies and the space weather observation. The NANOSATC-BR1 is the first Brazilian university scientific CubeSat from the INPE-UFSM's NANOSATC-BR, CubeSats Development Program launched into a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) orbit from the Russian Yasny Launch Base by a DNEPR launch vehicle on June 19th 2014 with other 33 satélites with the Brazilian Space Agency AEB financial support . Normally CubeSats nanosatellites have a LEO with approximately 600km altitude and 90º of inclination, suffering a high influence of space energetic particles, like protons, gamma ray, electrons and plasma producing in the CubeSats glitches, fails and errors in electronic components, electrical subsystems, memories, CMOS components and solar panels. This work presents the space weather influence in CubeSat missions like the NANOSATC-BR1, mainly over the Brazilian South American Magnetic Anomaly - SAMA, situated in the South American Continent which presents a low magnetic Field magnitude; and the fails that have occurred in the last year caused by the ejection of Sun particles.
