ResumoDuring a software system life cycle, project modifications occur for different reasons. Regarding web services, communication contracts modifications are equally common, which induces the need for adaptation in every system node. To help reduce the contracts changing impact over software source code, it is necessary to understand how these contract changes occur. This paper presents a preliminary study on the evaluation of the change history of different open-source projects that defines XSD documents, specifying metrics for such files, extracting them by software repository mining and analyzing their evolution during the project life cycle. Based on the results, and considering that Web Service Definition Language (WSDL) contracts use XSD, a deeper study focused on web services projects only is further proposed to assess what exactly is changed at each contract revision, possibly revealing changing tendencies to support easy-to-adapt web service development.

ResumoThe objective of this work is to present and to discuss the potentialities of a transdisciplinary process modeling methodology, which has been named T-PROST PROST Framework, to support the product design phase processes (production and management) in the systems concurrent engineering lifecycle. The methodology consists in creating a conceptual reference model of the systems concurrent engineering lifecycle processes and to transform it into specialised models of the areas of (Model Based) Systems Engineering, Project Management, Business Process Management and Simulation Modeling. The main benefits generated by the approach are derived from: The systematisation of the model development, encompassing both the systems engineering processes and their management; The use of the T-ProST Framework for model implementation and analysis, based on the simultaneous use of diverse disciplines and their respective methodologies and tools; The joint assessment of the specialised models created to provide better solutions and to improve project development. The T-ProST Framework can be used for the implementation of generic environments, made by the ensemble of applications implemented with the specialised tools used in the diverse disciplines. These generic environments can be used to perform product lifecycle management by organisations conducting short lifecycle project developments, characterised by low and mid-level complexity scopes submitted to severe time and budgetary constraints, as an alternative to the use of complex, expensive and difficult to configure proprietary systems existing on the market.

ResumoSocial media is a convenient tool for expressing ideas and a powerful means for opinion formation. In this paper, we apply sentiment analysis and machine learning techniques to study a controversial American individual on Twitter., aiming to grasp temporal patterns of opinion changes and the geographical distribution of sentiments (positive, neutral or negative), in the American territory. Specifically, we choose the American TV presenter and candidate for the Republican party nomination, Donald J. Trump. The results acquired aim to elucidate some interesting points about the data, such as: what is the distribution of users considering a match between their sentiment and their relevance? Which clusters can we get from the temporal data of each state? How is the distribution of sentiments, before and after, the first two Republican party debates?.

ResumoThe Atlantic Rainforest has been intensely devastated since the beginning of the colonization of Brazil, mainly due to wood extraction and urban and rural settlement. Although the Atlantic Rainforest has been reduced and fragmented, its remnants are important sources of heat and water vapor to the atmosphere. The present study aimed to characterize and to analyze the temporal dynamics of precipitation and evapotranspiration in the Atlantic Rainforest remnants in São Paulo state, southeastern Brazil, for the period from January 2000 to December 2010. To achieve this, global precipitation and evapotranspiration data from TRMM satellite and MOD16 algorithm as well as forest remnant maps produced by SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation and Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE) were used. Results found in this study demonstrated that the use of remote sensing was an important tool for analyzing hydrological variables in Atlantic Rainforest remnants, which can contribute to better understand the interaction between tropical forests and the atmosphere, and for generating input data necessary for surface models coupled to atmospheric general circulation models.

ResumoIn this work we follow a series of papers on high-resolution observations of small-scale structures in the solar atmosphere (Balmaceda et al. 2009, 2010; Vargas Dominguez et al. 2011; Palacios et al. 2012; Domingo et al. 2012; Vargas Dominguez et al. 2015, Cabello et al., in prep), combining several multi-wavelength data series. These were acquired by both ground-based (SST) and space-borne (Hinode) instruments during the joint campaign of the Hinode Operation Program 14, in September 2007. Diffraction-limited SST data were taken in the G-band and G-cont, and were restored by the MFBD technique. Hinode instruments, on the other hand, provided multispectral data from SOT-FG in the CN band, and Mg I and Ca II lines, as well as from SOT-SP in the Fe I line. In this series of works we have thoroughly studied vortex flows and their statistical occurrences, horizontal velocity fields by means of Local Correlation Tracking (LCT), divergence and vorticity. Taking advantage of the high-cadence and high spatial resolution data, we have also studied bright point statistics and magnetic field intensification, highlighting the importance of the smallest-scale magnetic element observations.
