Abstract | The goal of this work is to describe the existence of chaotic scattering in liquid bridges observed in Hele-Shaw cells. We discuss some aspects of the patterns obtained by the light scattering in a cavity formed by three spherical shells, and compared them to the case of hyperbolic kaleidoscopes using the Poincaré disk model. The analogy between chaotic scattering in dynamical systems and light scattering in foams (liquid bridges) is based on the fact that, in both cases, there is a surface in which light rays bounce back and forth for a certain number of iterations, as the same way as those observed in a chaotic repeller.
