             abstract = "This study prupose the mixing model aplication as a methodology 
                         for urban expansion interpretation using medium spatial resolution 
                         images in this case, Landsat 5 TM with 30m spatial resolution; as 
                         well the comparasion of this model with a visual classification 
                         for urban expansion regions. The comparasion results between the 
                         mixing model and the visual classification was linear, indicating 
                         that the mixing model is viable to the analisys of urban 
                         expansion.",
