was used in this work to evaluate the performance of a Textural
Multiscale Classification methodology in the automatic
classification of land use with coffee in the southern region of
Minas Gerais. In textural multiscale, the image scale is defined
by the size of the window used to generate the co-occurrence
matrix, from which the textural measures are extracted. Among the
models tested, the Contrast metric obtained the best result, with
70.85% accuracy for Coffee class and 72.66% overall accuracy. The
scale defined by the 7x7 window presented the best results for
coffee land use classification. Therefore, the results showed that
the evaluated methodology is adequate for the automatic
classification of coffee areas.",
