                         disserta{\c{c}}{\~a}o objetiva proporcionar entendimento 
                         abrangente e aprofundado a respeito do tema de 
                         verifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o por testes ambientais, com {\^e}nfase a 
                         sua aplica{\c{c}}{\~a}o em programas espaciais. Buscar-se-{\'a} 
                         disponibilizar um estudo sobre a evolu{\c{c}}{\~a}o do conceito 
                         de verifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o e testes ambientais em programas 
                         espaciais, assim, como uma vis{\~a}o panor{\^a}mica, atualizada, 
                         sobre o estado-da-arte e tend{\^e}ncias relativos a este tema, 
                         especialmente no que tange {\`a} infraestrutura. 
                         Apresentar-se-{\'a}, tamb{\'e}m, um estudo comparativo entre as 
                         diretivas preconizadas pelo padr{\~a}o European Cooperation for 
                         Space Standardisation (ECSS) e aquelas implementadas pelo INPE, 
                         referentes a processos e filosofia de verifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o 
                         atrav{\'e}s de testes ambientais. Finalmente, buscar-se-{\'a} 
                         disponibilizar um conjunto de propostas para aprimoramento dos 
                         processos de verifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o correntemente implementados 
                         pelo INPE em seus projetos. ABSTRACT: The method of verification 
                         by testing is a widely used strategy in the development of space 
                         systems. Environmental tests are the main expression of this 
                         method and therefore it is important to undertake a comprehensive 
                         study of environmental testing, including its characteristics and 
                         the infrastructure necessary to its realization. This dissertation 
                         aims at providing in-depth and comprehensive understanding on the 
                         subject of verification by environmental testing, with emphasis to 
                         its application to space programs. The work will attempt to 
                         provide a reference on the evolution of the concept of 
                         verification and environmental testing in space programs, as well 
                         as an overview of the state-of- the-art and trends related to this 
                         subject, especially with regard to infrastructure. It will also 
                         give a comparative study between the directives set forth by the 
                         European Cooperation for Space Standardization (ECSS) and those 
                         implemented by INPE, regarding processes and philosophy of 
                         verification through environmental testing. Finally, proposals for 
                         improving the verification processes currently implemented in 
                         INPE´s projects will be provided.",
