             abstract = "The ENSO (El Nino-South Oscillation) impacts, associated with 
                         human actions such deforestation and intensive cattle pasturage, 
                         increase the space-temporal environment degradation levels, 
                         influence on superficial water resources, and influence on social, 
                         economic, and environmental risks construction on Brazilian 
                         semi-arid region too. This work presents a space-temporal dynamic 
                         study of the total rainfall, and canopy and superficial water 
                         resources degradation of several cities of the semi-arid region of 
                         the Para{\'{\i}}ba State, Brazil, through of TM/LANDSAT 5 and 
                         ETM+/LANDSAT-7 products, to the years of 1984, 1987, 1996, 1999 
                         and 2001. The digital analyses were made, using the Adjusted 
                         Multispectral Composition method. From the obtained results, it 
                         was verified there is an important quantitative influence of the 
                         ENSO events on environmental degradation processes, and in the 
                         storage of water in all reservoirs of the area of study. This 
                         evidence the high vulnerability of the people that living in this 
                         region to the ENSO events.",
