abstract = "The deforestation rates became since the last decade in the
principal environmental problem in the Amazon. The survey of land
use system is of great importance because the inadequate use of
lands may reduce the environmental and the quality of life of the
local populations. The aim of this work was to study the dynamic
of land use systems in the APA Encontro das {\'A}guas located in
the city of Iranduba - AM. It was used techniques of Geographic
Information System (GIS) and methods of remote sensing. The
methods used were firstly was carried out a study to identify and
classify changes in the land use systems occured between the years
of 1995 and 2003, then the classified land use systems were
crossed with layers of soil classes and vegetation types. The
results shows that the Oxisols are the soil class widely
deforested then we found that 38% of the total of the aluvial
soils are used. The most deforestesd vegetation types, following
the Brazilian vegetation classification were Floresta Ombrofila
Densa de Terras baixas and Floresta Ombrofila Densa Aluvial.",
