abstract = "The CO2 flux determination is possible by means of a combination
of vegetation index and a photo chemical reflectance index firstly
proposed by Rahman et al. (2000). The aim of this paper is show
the carbon dioxide flux from the lower atmosphere by
differentiation of levels of carbon presence at Distrito Federal
and compares the carbon data between several targets, also test
the new features of LDCM to the previous purpose. Mapping carbon
flux lead to a better understanding about how many urban centers
are poorly planned without at least a minimum quota of vegetation.
The results shows that CO2flux and its variations (with EVI and
EVI2) has a good applicability to the new satellite features of
Landsat 8, despite overestimation of the index with EVI and
underestimation with EVI2 that may happen due the choice of
targets and biome characteristics. As expected, urban areas shows
low rates of carbon sink, in other words, represents high levels
of carbon at those areas, the agricultural target shows
similarities with conservation area target, however has its own
cycles that shows no dependence with local biome nor local climate
since agricultural can handle any situation to improve the crop.
The vegetation removal leads to a low sink and high levels of
                         carbon at atmosphere.",
