abstract = "The increasing demand for geospatial information has been
transforming the datas from satellite images in a huge data
resource for the whole society, with a important emphasis on the
images that can be acquired for free. Today, in Brazil, the
Landsat and RapidEye images are available, but they have a
different spatial, spectral, and temporal resolution. This paper
intends to evaluate the geometric and spectral adjustment of
Landsat 8 and RapidEye, with a view to promoting the integration
of these data correctly in future maps. To evaluate these
adjustments, the images were corrected for atmospheric effects and
their indices NDVI for before and after correction were also
generated. The results were comparatively evaluated from the data
collection. We conclude that it is important take care in the
pre-processing of images before any application, especially if the
intention is to integrate different sensors with different
resolutions. We also highlight the importance of the geometric
adjustment and the spectral adjustment between the images, to have
a correct result and enable reproducible the methodologies in
other scenes.",
