metodologia utiliza o {\'{\I}}ndice Normalizado de {\'A}gua

Ambas as metodologias apontam
ocorre nesse per{\'{\i}}odo, conduzindo a umidade proveniente do
regi{\~a}o sudeste e centro oeste do Brasil. ABSTRACT: The rainy
season in the Midwest and Southeast regions of Brazil is the
object of study of this research, which focuses on the
characterization of the conditions of atmospheric moisture in the
moments preceding the onset of the rains on these regions for the
period 2000-2010. Precipitable water reanalysis data of the
{"}Climate Forcast System Reanalysis{"} (CFSR) will be used to
identify the beginning of the rainy season using the methodology
proposed by Zeng and Lu (2004). This methodology uses the
Normalised Precipitable Water Index (NPWI) which identifies the
instant at which occurs the start of the rainy season from the
time when the index exceeds the threshold 0,618. This date will be
confronted with that found using rainfall data of MERGE (ROZANTE
et al, 2010), applying the methodology proposed by Marengo et al.
(2001). Both methodologies indicate dates to the beginning of the
rainy season close to the dates indicated in the literature,
during the spring between the months of September and October,
preceded by a gradual increase in the amount of precipitable water
in the atmosphere of these regions, which can be explained by the
intensification of the low level jet that occurs during this
period, leading moisture from the Atlantic and recycled over the
Amazon, to the southeast and center-west of Brazil.",
