oce{\^a}nica s{\~a}o investigadas na regi{\~a}o do litoral
norte do Estado do Maranh{\~a}o.
O modelo
compara{\c{c}}{\~a}o entre as CLPs observada e simulada e
tamb{\'e}m {\'e} aplicado no estudo da circula{\c{c}}{\~a}o de
brisa mar{\'{\i}}tima sobre a regi{\~a}o do CLA. As maiores
amplitudes di{\'a}rias de temperatura e umidade relativa do ar
s{\~a}o observadas no CLA. Observa-se que o vento predominante no
CLA {\'e} de NE e para o oceano de NE-SE. O perfil vertical da
atmosfera marinha e continental muito se assemelham. Nestes
A Camada Limite Convectiva (CLC)
rugosidade e aquecimento da superf{\'{\i}}cie do continente e
{\'e} intensificado pela brisa mar{\'{\i}}tima. ABSTRACT: The
Planetary Boundary Layer (CLP) over the ocean and continent is
investigated at the north part of the Maranh{\~a}o State
coastline. With this purpose, the structure these CLPs is examined
using observational data and numerical studies. Simultaenous
radiossonde data were collacted and used in this study. The
tri-dimensional mesoecale model (RAMS) is applied to compare the
two boundary layers and for the study the sea breeze circulation
at the Alcantara Space Launching Center (CLA). Larger amplitude of
daily air temperature and relative humidity are observed at the
CLA. The predominant wind above the CLA is from northeast and in
the ocean is northeast-southeast. Vertical profiles of marine and
continental atmosphere are similar. The continental convective
boundary layer responds faster to the daily cycle of the solar
radiation. The major growth of the convective layer over the
continent occurs at 15:00 local hour and at 18:00 local hour over
the ocean. The contrast in roughness and surface heating between
the continent and the ocean develops local circulation cells along
the coastline. The analysis of the North-South wind component
shows that the wind over the CLA is intensificed due to the sea
breeze.",
