of this project was the modeling and simulation of part of the
Attitude Control System (ACS), more specifically of the Fine
Control Mode of operation, of the mission TD-1A (undertaken by the
European Space Agency ESA from March of 1972 to May of 1974), in
the modeling and simulation environments Xmath® e MatLab®. For the
modeling and simulation, the MatLab® software was used initially;
and later, with greater degree of complexity, the system was
implemented in the Xmath® software. Real situations of angle and
angular velocity of the satellite, and noises were implemented in
these environments and they produced satisfactory results. This
work was developed under the orientation of Prof. Dr. Marcelo
Lopes de Oliveira e Souza, during the Winter Course of
Introduction to Engineering, Mathematics and Computation applied
to Space Technologies, at INPE, in 2005.",
