abstract = "In this paper we invite the readers to discover the world of
{"}computational experiments{"} (or computer simulation) of space
plasmas. The computational experiment is similar to those
traditionally made in laboratory. It is not purpose to solve all
the physical problems that remain misunderstood, but provides a
powerful tool to help physicists (scientists) in the search of
their solution. We present some characteristics of computer
simulations and examples where these simulations can be applied.
For a better understanding of this paper it is recommended that
the reader have a basic knowledge in plasma physics and
electromagnetism, since we use these concepts to develop this
work.",
