abstract = "A presente pesquisa visa analisar eventos de secas para cidade de
Bras{\'{\i}}lia DF atrav{\'e}s do Standardized Precipitation
Index (SPI), em portugu{\^e}s {\'{\I}}ndice Padronizado de
Precipita{\c{c}}{\~a}o (IPP), na escala temporal de 24 meses.
Foram utilizados dados mensais de precipita{\c{c}}{\~a}o pluvial
compreendendo o per{\'{\i}}odo de 1971 2019. Os resultados
apresentados ap{\'o}s a an{\'a}lise do SPI 24 mostraram que pa
ra o per{\'{\i}}odo de estudo houve 15 eventos de seca extrema,
31 de seca severa, 46 de seca moderada, 100 de seca fraca e 163
seguiram uma seca normal. As secas extremas de 1987, 2002 e 2016
coincidiram com a ocorr{\^e}ncia do fen{\^o}meno clim{\'a}tico
El Niño Oscila{\c{c}}{\~a}o S ul. Portanto, espera se que os
presentes resultados contribuam com com conhecimentos a cerca de
epis{\'o}dios de secas na cidade de Bras{\'{\i}}lia DF.
ABSTRACT: This research aims analyze drought events in
Bras{\'{\i}}lia DF using the Standardized Precipitation Index
(SPI), considering 24 month at the time scale. Monthly rainfall
data during the period 1971 2019 were used. The results revels SPI
24 analysis showed that for the study period there were 15 extreme
drought events, 31 severe drought, 46 moderate drought, 100 weak
drought, and 163 present normal drought. The extreme droughts of
1987, 2002 and 2016 coincided with the occurrence of the El Niño
Southern Oscillation (ENSO). The refore, it is expected that the
present results contribute with knowledge about episodes of
droughts in the city of Bras{\'{\i}}lia DF.",
