growing significantly for some years. Universities and companies
are increasingly interested in these space systems, mainly due to
the low cost and short development time. Commercial-Off-The-Shelf
(COTS) is the basis for the development of these satellites;
However, the components used have low radiation resistance, which
decreases their reliability in the space environment. In this
article we will discuss strategies for using COTS transistors,
being similar for the other semiconductor components, integrated
in the system in order to resist longer exposed to radiation. For
this purpose, a study of the radiation effects for each type of
component is necessary, analyzing how much radiation is usually
observed that the component resists according to its mission and
what are the generated effects, in order to observe which
functions are better. component, along with strategies for
mitigating the damage generated. This way you can extend the life
of the system.",
