             abstract = "The procedure for filling missing data set of the 22 temporal 
                         series of the rainfall at south-southeast of Brazil coast, 
                         covering the period from 1961 to 1993 is described. There are two 
                         types of gaps in data set. In the first type there are 6 cases 
                         consisting of missing one or two isolated months. In the second 
                         type, there are 5 cases consisting of missing data from 3 months 
                         to an entire year. In the first type data are filled considering a 
                         decomposition of the annual mean estimate which is projected into 
                         its respective monthly values. In the second type we used linear 
                         regression method. These results are shown.",
