             abstract = "This work had as objective to establish an analysis of the 
                         training data use viability, through the different process 
                         (mixture model and MAXVER classifier), in the elaborated model for 
                         monitoring the vegetation cover dynamic in Amazon. This model is 
                         based on the technique denominated Vegetation Continuous Fields 
                         (VCF), where a larger emphasis is in the integration of different 
                         sensor data with different spatial resolutions. As the study area, 
                         it was chosen one region in Mato Grosso State, for presenting a 
                         great representativity of the Brazilian Amazon in terms of land 
                         cover characteristics. The elaboration of the methodological 
                         process happened, jointly, with the application of several tests, 
                         being used, for so much, training data obtained through different 
                         applied processes to the scenes TM. With this, the viability was 
                         verified (acuracity, larger automation and smaller time of 
                         processing) of the process in the model created. This stage was 
                         complemented with a comparison of the best generated products 
                         (MODIS 500m) obtained for the Mato Grosso State, with the one of 
                         the PRODES Project (year of 2002). Through its preliminary results 
                         and its comparison with the data obtained from PRODES Project, the 
                         feasibility of the Techniques application was verified, where the 
                         mixture model was the better.",
