abstract = "The measurement of total solar irradiance onboard satellites
allowed obtaining more accurate data due to atmospheric absence.
The instruments used in these measurements are electrical
substitution radiometers, which use cavity-type sensors. This work
shows the ideal geometric parameters for these sensors considering
a paint with specular characteristics. The study was carried out
using non-sequential ray tracing for a cone and for a
cone-cylinder cavity. The best results were obtained for a cone
length to diameter ratio of 1.5 whereas for a cylinder, a
reduction of up to 80% could be obtained.",
