As
an{\'a}lises foram feitas para o per{\'{\i}}odo de Setembro a
Mar{\c{c}}o, de 1990 a 1995. Os resultados mostram que a maioria
dos 30 eventos considerados (40%) teve in{\'{\i}}cio na Serra da
Mantiqueira, entre 13 e 14 horas. A m{\'a}xima
Para{\'{\i}}ba. As Intensidades m{\'e}dias variam de 18,9 a
42,1 mm/h e a dura{\c{c}}{\~a}o de 2:00 a 4:40 horas. Os
orografia. ABSTRACT: This work emphasizes the main characteristics
of the convective precipitation events. which take place under the
coveraged area of the S{\~a}o Paulo Meteorological Radar, using
CAPPI data sets. The analysis were done for the September - March
period during the years from 1990 to 1995. The results have shown
that 40% of the 30 considered events, have started around 1 to 2
PM. The maximum evolution of the events was reached between 5 and
6 PM and have occured over the Great S{\~a}o Paulo area and
Para{\'{\i}}ba Valley. The average intensities ranged from 18.9
to 42.1 mm/h and the duration from 2 to 4:40h. The results suggest
that the marine breeze associated to urban heating island plays a
more important hole, on the evolution of convective events over
S{\~a}o Paulo, than the relief and vegetaiton does. The
convective events, in general, occur randomly or making a
precipitation line over the continent, forced mainly by
orography.",
