abstract = "A aplica{\c{c}}{\~a}o de {\'{\i}}ndices de umidade e
{\'u}midas . O Banhado do Taim, importante {\'a}rea {\'u}mida
reconhecida como S{\'{\i}}tio Ramsar. O presente estudo
testar suas capacidades e sensibilidades quanto {\`a} sanidade e
umidade na vegeta{\c{c}}{\~a}o na {\'a}rea da ESEC. Foram
Superf{\'{\i}}cie - TS.
{\'{\i}}ndices de umidade.
diferentes esp{\'e}cies no banhado.
A metodologia
aplicada mostrou-se eficiente quanto a sensibilidade dos
{\'{\i}}ndices de umidade as diferentes condi{\c{c}}{\~o}es
h{\'{\i}}dricas na ESEC Taim.
ABSTRACT: The
application of humidity {\'{\i}}ndices has been increasingly
frequent aiming the understanding and environmental monitoring of
wetlands. The Taim marsh, an important wetland in southern Rio
Grande do Sul, occupies about 53% of the total area of ESEC Taim,
a Federal Conservation Unit with great biodiversity and recognized
as a Ramsar Site. The present study aimed to analyze the influence
of temperature on the response of the NDWI and LSWI humidity
indices, as well as to test their capacities and sensitivities
regarding sanity and humidity in the vegetation in the ESEC area.
MODIS sensor products were used to calculate the humidity indices
and Surface Temperature - ST. By means of Pearsons correlation,
the relation between temperature and humidity indices was
obtained. A positive, moderate and strong relationship was
observed between NDWI and LSWI humidity indices. LSWI stands out
for its greater sensitivity to vegetation moisture related to the
occurrence of different species in the marsh. Between the indexes
and the temperature there was a considerable inverse correlation,
indicating that as the temperature increases, the humidity indices
decrease. This relationship was stronger between NDWI and ST. The
applied methodology proved to be efficient regarding the
sensitivity of the humidity indicesto the different water
conditions in the ESEC Taim. It has also demonstrated that low
spatial resolution images can be successfully used in the study of
wetlands.",
