estudo consistiu em mapear e analisar a varia{\c{c}}{\~a}o
espa{\c{c}}o temporal do uso e cobertura da terra na Bacia
Hidrogr{\'a}fica do Igarap{\'e} S{\~a}o Francisco, no
munic{\'{\i}}pio de Rio Branco Acre, entre os anos 2001 e 2021.
Utilizou-se imagens de sat{\'e}lite do LANDSAT 5/TM e LANDSAT
8/OLI para o mapeamento de uso e cobertura da terra. Foram
identificadas e quantificadas 5 classes de cobertura, sendo elas:
Floresta, Pastagem, Solo Exposto, {\'A}rea Urbana e Corpos
D{\'a}gua, tornando poss{\'{\i}}vel avaliar a din{\^a}mica da
paisagem no per{\'{\i}}odo de 20 anos. As maiores
mudan{\c{c}}as foram verificadas na classe de floresta a qual
aumentou 5% no per{\'{\i}}odo analisado destacando um processo
de regenera{\c{c}}{\~a}o florestal. Isso pode ser considerado um
ponto positivo para {\'a}reas de APPs. ABSTRACT: The removal of
vegetation and the use and occupation of the soil in a disorderly
way are some of the environmental problems commonly found in
Environmental Protection Areas and Hydrographic Basins. This study
consisted of mapping and analyzing the space-time variation of
land use and land cover in the Igarap{\'e} S{\~a}o Francisco
Watershed, in the municipality of Rio Branco - Acre, between 2001
and 2021. Satellite images from the LANDSAT 5/ TM and LANDSAT
8/OLI for land use and land cover mapping. Five coverage classes
were identified and quantified, namely: Forest, Pasture, Exposed
Soil, Urban Area and Water Bodies, making it possible to evaluate
the dynamics of the landscape in a period of 20 years. The biggest
changes were verified in the forest class, which increased by 5%
in the analyzed period, highlighting a forest regeneration
process. This can be considered a positive point for APP areas.",
