transmittance in ultraviolet interval 0.3-0.4 µm are not
negligible, leading to systematic underestimation of ground values
assessed by the CPTEC’s GL1.1 model (which assesses solar
radiation based on GOES 8 imagery). It is shown that a simple
correction including this flux satisfactorily corrects that
