             abstract = "The precipitation forecast of CPTEC Global Model with Kuo deep 
                         convection is compared with a new version of this model with 
                         Relaxes Arakawa-Schubert (RAS) deep convection, using the Threat 
                         Score Statistical Index (TS). The TS was calculated to three cases 
                         of SACZ that happened in January/96, February/96 and March/97. The 
                         results show that version with Relaxes Arakawa-Schubert presents 
                         better performance.",
