abstract = "Using monthly mean rainfall and sea surface temperature date from
1980 to 1997 we have studied the associations between rainfall
over Amazon area represented by ICC and sea surface temperature
anomalies in four regions at Tropical Pacific Ocean, being they:
El Niņo 1+2, 3, 3.4 and 4 with intention to sight when and where
there are the greatest associations. The results finded shows very
Amazon sub-regions represented by ICC (normalized rainfall) and
sea surface temperature anomalies associations in any lags. The
greatest correlation (negative) between both were find over Amazon
sub-region 4 and SST anomalies in El Niņo 1+2, 3 and 3.4. This
agree with previous results of several works.",
