             abstract = "A hydrologic model, originally developed by Vorosmarty et al. 
                         (1989), was used and calibrated to S{\~a}o Francisco Basin. The 
                         monthly behavior of the three basin dams discharges was simulated 
                         and taken into account for the basin calibration. The model output 
                         was compared to the monthly discharge measured at S{\~a}o 
                         Francisco River by DNAEE, which were is this work considered as 
                         ground truth data set. The achieved agreement suggests the 
                         feasibility of the model to incorporate the surface water 
                         reservoirs inside the S{\~a}o Francisco Basin.",
