abstract = "The Amazon basin cont{\`a}ins hall of the remaining tropical
forest. The water balanceof the Amazon basin is o{"} great
importance, due to the presence of the world's largest
hydrographic system. Hence, there is {\'a} concern that
large-scale land usechanges may changes significantly the flow
regimes of rivers w{\'{\i}}thin the region and the
land-atmosphere exchange of moisture. Fluxes between this coupled
system controi the inputs of water {\'e} and energy to the
atmosphere, and the dynamics characterisitcs of the planetary
boundary layer. As such, It is reasonable to expect a significant
impact on the region's climalology and hydrology in the wake of
large-scale land cover changes.",
