abstract = "Quasi-Stationary waves modulate persistent weather systems over
South America, as the Bolivian high, the South Atlantic
Convergence Zone and Blocking systems. This study shows features
of Quasi-Stationary waves over South America in the zonally
asymmetric component of geopotential at 200 hPa. Mainly waves 3
and 4 are highlighted in the characterization of South America
summer circulation.",
