%X To produce a Geographic Information System GIS for the Yard of the Federal University of the Rio Grande do Norte State - UFRN has the purpose to give assistance in the management of the use and occupation of the physique space and the process of the implementation of the Director Plan. We are using a image of High Resolution satellite (QuickBird) cover an area of 25 kilometers squares inside the Natal city (where the UFRN campus is localized), the development of the GIS allow with the generation of the Digital Terrenal Model DTM and also with the building and streets in vector mode. Another Information Layers were generated using the image satellite namely: the edge of the area, the vegetal cover and the impermeable and permeable areas. Also the regions determinates by the Director Plan were introduce in the Data Base, this still is been building and the next steps are the introduction of the Cadastral Data, the infra-structure data (electrical distribution, optical fiber and water distribution). All this is been building in the SPRING program and the Information Layers when are ready will be exported to the TerraView program, in this we will introducing another register such as pictures, film and the old architectonic layers.
