             abstract = "Este projeto coletivo estuda a situa{\c{c}}{\~a}o do ensino de 
                         2º grau em Cachoeira Paulista e munic{\'{\i}}pios 
                         circunvizinhos. A preocupa{\c{c}}{\~a}o central e a an{\'a}lise 
                         da oferta e demanda escolar e as necessidades apresentadas pela 
                         for{\c{c}}a de trabalho do setor industrial. A partir dos 
                         resultados obtidos nos question{\'a}rios enviados {\`a}s 
                         ind{\'u}strias e escolas, foi poss{\'{\i}}vel mostrar o real 
                         comportamento das habilita{\c{c}}{\~o}es profissionais no 
                         n{\'{\i}}vel de 2º grau. Para facilitar o entendimento dos 
                         objetivos estabelecidos e a fim de estimular novas pesquisas 
                         mostramos neste estudo a metodologia utilizada no levantamento, as 
                         caracter{\'{\i}}sticas da regi{\~a}o estudada e, finalmente, as 
                         transforma{\c{c}}{\~o}es introduzidas no sistema educacional e 
                         as repercuss{\~o}es no sistema social. Dedicamos 
                         aten{\c{c}}{\~a}o tombem a Economia da Educa{\c{c}}{\~a}o em 
                         virtude dos v{\'{\i}}nculos existentes entre o sistema 
                         econ{\^o}mico e educacional e a necessidade de se estabelecer 
                         objetivos compat{\'{\i}}veis a ambos. No ultimo 
                         cap{\'{\i}}tulo (Conclus{\~o}es e Diretrizes) s{\~a}o 
                         discutidos os principais problemas encontrados e s{\~a}o 
                         apresentadas as recomenda{\c{c}}{\~o}es que foram 
                         extra{\'{\i}}das ao longo do trabalho. ABSTRACT: This study 
                         deals with the condition of second level education in Cachoeira 
                         Paulista and neighboring municipalities. The main concern is an 
                         analisys of the supply and demand of schooling and the 
                         requirements of the industrial labor force. The actual behavior of 
                         vocational second level education offered and the needs of the 
                         factories were obtained from questionaires sent to the schools and 
                         factories of the area. In order to facilitate the understanding of 
                         the objectivies of the objectivies of this study and to stimulate 
                         new research, we have included the methodology used, the 
                         characteristics of the study area, and finally the changes 
                         introduced in the educational system and their social impact. We 
                         have also given attention to the Economics of Education due to the 
                         connection between the economic and educational systems and the 
                         need of establishing compatible objectives for them. The last 
                         chapter discusses the main problems found and the recommendations 
                         which resulted from this work.",
