                         mas temporais com rajadas de vento, trovoadas e ocorr{\^e}ncia de 
                         granizo na esta{\c{c}}{\~a}o fria e sobre tudo na Regi{\~a}o 
                         Sudeste do Brasil s{\~a}o raras. Alguns casos ocorrem como o que 
                         foi chamado de caso ribeir{\~a}o preto que foi estudado por 
                         Meneses, W. F. e Dias M. A. F. 1994. Na tarde do dia 19 de agosto 
                         de 2006 a aproxima{\c{c}}{\~a}o de uma frente fria pelo oceano, 
                         pr{\'o}ximo do litoral do Estado de SP, gerou instabilidade 
                         atmosf{\'e}rica que se deslocou do sul de Minas Gerais, 
                         provocando pancadas de chuva e ocorr{\^e}ncia de granizo nos 
                         Estados de SP, do RJ e de MG. Os modelos indicavam umidade 
                         relativa do ar elevada e instabilidade forte em altos 
                         n{\'{\i}}veis, que s{\~a}o as poss{\'{\i}}veis causas da 
                         ocorr{\^e}ncia de granizo na regi{\~a}o. O efeito da orografia 
                         foi um fato importante tamb{\'e}m neste caso, pois em estudos 
                         voltados para outras regi{\~o}es de serras no estado de S{\~a}o 
                         Paulo indicam que 65,6% dos casos de chuva forte ocorridos tem 
                         rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o com o relevo (Blanco, C. M. R e Massambani., 
                         2000). Severe rains are frequent during the rainy station on 
                         Brazil, especially in the South Region as in It Conforte, J. C. e 
                         Ferreira N. J., 2000, but secular with gusts of wind, 
                         thunderstorms and occurrence of hail in the cold station and above 
                         all in the Southeastern Region of Brazil is rare. Some cases occur 
                         as what it was called Ribeir{\~a}o Preto case that were studied 
                         by Meneses, W. F. e Dias M. F. 1994. In the afternoon of day 19 of 
                         August of 2006 the approach of a cold front for the ocean, next to 
                         the coast of the State of SP, generated atmospheric instability 
                         that if dislocated from the south of Minas Gerais, provoking rain 
                         collisions and hail occurrence in the States of SP, the RJ and MG. 
                         The models indicated relative humidity of high air and strong 
                         instability in high levels, that are the possible causes of the 
                         hail occurrence in the region. The effect of the orografia was an 
                         important fact also in this in case that, therefore in studies 
                         directed toward other regions of mountain ranges in the state of 
                         S{\~a}o Paulo they indicate that 65.6% of strong rain cases the 
                         occurred have relation with the relief (Blanco, C.M.R and 
                         Massambani., 2000).",
