Change Research (IAI) possui como objetivo principal o

megacidades, bem como a elabora{\c{c}}{\~a}o de cen{\'a}rios de
emiss{\~o}es e as decorrentes mudan{\c{c}}as clim{\'a}ticas
para a Am{\'e}rica do Sul. Dentro desse contexto, este trabalho
tem como finalidade desenvolver e validar ferramentas e base de
dados de emiss{\~o}es em escala regional para estudos associados
com a modifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o da composi{\c{c}}{\~a}o
qu{\'{\i}}mica atmosf{\'e}rica na Am{\'e}rica do Sul, devido
{\`a} expans{\~a}o urbana, e seu impacto no clima regional.
Ser{\'a} utilizado o sistema de modelagem CCATT-BRAMS (Coupled
Chemistry Aerosol and Tracer Transport model to the Brazilian
developments on the Regional Atmospheric Modeling System). Nessa
fase do projeto, fez-se uma atualiza{\c{c}}{\~a}o e
extrapola{\c{c}}{\~a}o do banco de dados de emiss{\~o}es
antr{\'o}picas, atrav{\'e}s de compara{\c{c}}{\~a}o dos dados
de emiss{\~o}es provenientes de invent{\'a}rios locais com dados
s{\'o}cio-econ{\^o}micos. O n{\'u}mero de ve{\'{\i}}culos e o
n{\'u}mero de ind{\'u}strias, fornecidos pelo Instituto
Brasileiro de Geografia e estat{\'{\i}}stica (IBGE), foram os
{\'{\i}}ndices com maior coeficiente de determina{\c{c}}{\~a}o
em rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o {\`a}s emiss{\~o}es veiculares e fixas,
respectivamente. Fez-se tamb{\'e}m um estudo de caso e teste de
sensibilidade do oz{\^o}nio, para a regi{\~a}o metropolitana de
S{\~a}o Paulo, no intuito de avaliar o desempenho do modelo
quanto {\`a} simula{\c{c}}{\~a}o de mecanismos
qu{\'{\i}}micos vi{\'a}veis tanto na escala urbana quanto
regional. ABSTRACT: The SAEMC project (South American Emissions,
Megacities and Climate) is a joint effort between several South
American Institutions funded by IAI (Inter-American Institute for
Global Change Research). The main goal of SAEMC is to contribute
with more reliable regional emissions and climate change scenarios
for South America (SA) as well as to establish the basis for
operational chemical weather or South American megacities. In this
context, we will address the development and evaluation of
CCATT-BRAMS (Coupled Chemistry Aerosol and Tracer Transport model
to the Brazilian developments on the Regional Atmospheric Modeling
System) for studies associated to atmosphere chemical composition
modification over South America and its impacts on regional
climate change. The model chosen was the CCATT-BRAMS (Coupled
Chemistry Aerosol and Tracer Transport model to the Brazilian
developments on the Regional Atmospheric Modeling System). The
anthropogenic sources from EDGAR and RETRO database has been
upgraded and extrapolated using South American inventories,
correlating the emissions with socioeconomic information. The
number of industries and vehicles has been identified as the most
suitable indicator for all cities under analysis. An case study
and ozone sensibility study has been done for the S{\~a}o Paulo
with purpose of to evaluate and update the model to simulate
tracers and aerosols in both urban and regional scale.",
