abstract = "The diurnal and semidiurnal lunar tides are investigated in the
ionosphere using Total Electron Content (TEC) estimated from the
Global Positioning System (GPS) over Brazil. GPS TEC measurements
from January 2011 to December 2012 have been used with a spatial
resolution of 0.5° in longitude/latitude and a temporal resolution
of 10 minutes. Using this temporal resolution was possible extract
the characteristics of the lunar tide from the data. Salient
features of this oscillation are presented and discussed in this
work. For instance, the semidiurnal lunar tide is dominant
comparing to the diurnal. Significant longitudinal and latitudinal
variability have been observed in both components, which reveal a
complex dynamics and structure of the local lunar tide. Seasonal
variability has been observed as well.",
