vegetais levando em conta suas caracter{\'{\i}}sticas
biof{\'{\i}}sicas e bioqu{\'{\i}}micas. Eles fornecem
conex{\~a}o l{\'o}gica entre os par{\^a}metros
biof{\'{\i}}sicos da vegeta{\c{c}}{\~a}o e as suas
propriedades espectrais (GOEL, 1988). Este trabalho fundamentou-se
na utiliza{\c{c}}{\~a}o da vers{\~a}o 4SAIL do modelo SAIL
Scattering by Arbitrarily Inclined Leaves para simular espectros
de reflect{\^a}ncia de superf{\'{\i}}cie de plantios de
Eucalipto situados nas proximidades da Esta{\c{c}}{\~a}o
Experimental de Itatinga/SP. Estes dados foram posteriormente
comparados com dados radiom{\'e}tricos extra{\'{\i}}dos de
imagem orbital Worldview-3 que teve seus n{\'u}meros digitais
convertidos para valores de reflect{\^a}ncia de
superf{\'{\i}}cie adquiridos sobre os mesmos plantios de
eucalipto.. Em termos absolutos, valores de reflect{\^a}ncia dos
doss{\'e}is simulados pelo modelo n{\~a}o apresentaram boa
ader{\^e}ncia com aqueles extra{\'{\i}}dos das imagens
WorldView 3. As melhores correla{\c{c}}{\~o}es entre as duas
s{\'e}ries de dados foram obtidas para a regi{\~a}o do
infravermelho pr{\'o}ximo. ABSTRACT: Physical models based on the
radiative transfer theory applied to vegetation studies have
helped the understanding of the electromagnetic radiation and
vegetation canopies interaction process taking into account their
biophysical and biochemical characteristics. They provide a
logical link between the biophysical parameters of the vegetation
and their respective spectral properties (GOEL, 1988). A SAIL
(Scattering by Arbitrarily Inclined Leaves) model version called
4SAIL was applied to calculate reflectance spectra from Eucalyptus
plantations located near the Esta{\c{c}}{\~a}o Experimental of
Itatinga/SP, Brazil. The 4SAIL simulated canopy reflectance values
were compared to the reflectance values extracted from WorldView-3
orbital images..In absolute terms canopy reflectance values
simulated from the 4SAIL model did not presented satisfactory
adherence with those reflect{\^a}ncia values extracted from the
WorldView 3 images. The best correlations between the two data
sets were observed in the NIR spectral region.",
