desta disserta{\c{c}}{\~a}o. ABSTRACT: Scientific applications
related to soil segment systems traditionally aggregate data
captured by geographically distributed instruments. The sequences
of information collected from the collection to the availability
of the data are subject to failures, and the unavailability of
these services may compromise the quality of the services
provided. One of the soil segment systems that we can observe at
the National Institute of Space Research (INPE) is the Space
Weather program, where it is currently not possible to know the
quality of service (QoS) of its applications. Still, we realize
that INPE mostly does not know the QoS of their systems.
Therefore, this dissertation presents an architecture that allows
to evaluate the QoS of soil segment systems and their components
through the following characteristics: (i) define; (Ii) collect;
(Iii) processing; (Iv) storing; And (v) to provide QoS data. In
addition, to create an interface to provide QoS data for adaptive
systems architecture that require the collection and monitoring of
QoS for adaptation purposes. The case study presents the
implementation of a system called textit ArcticFoxQoS oriented by
the proposed architecture, which performs a flow from the
collection to the dissemination of the QoS data of a web service
that provides spatial data. Finally, an analysis of the
limitations found, the contributions of the proposed solution, as
well as the considerations for the future works are part of this
dissertation.",
