abstract = "Em ambientes de microgravidade, como em esta{\c{c}}{\~o}es
espaciais e no promissor ramo do turismo espacial, estudos indicam
a altera{\c{c}}{\~a}o do comportamento card{\'{\i}}aco. Logo,
pesquisas que visam melhorar as t{\'e}cnicas de monitoramento e
controle de cardiopatologias tornam-se ainda mais valiosas, sendo,
inclusive, diferencial para o sucesso de miss{\~o}es tripuladas.
A disserta{\c{c}}{\~a}o em quest{\~a}o estuda um modelo
matem{\'a}tico que simula a din{\^a}mica card{\'{\i}}aca
humana que, de acordo com a escolha de par{\^a}metros, pode
apresentar comportamento peri{\'o}dico (relativo a um sinal de
Eletrocardiograma normal) ou ca{\'o}tico (relativo a um sinal de
Eletrocardiograma indicativo de cardiopatia). Com o sistema em
estado semelhante {\`a} fibrila{\c{c}}{\~a}o atrial,
t{\'e}cnicas de controle foram testadas e uma nova foi
desenvolvida. ABSTRACT: In microgravity environments, such as in
space stations and in the promising field of space tourism,
studies indicate the change in cardiac behavior. Therefore,
research aimed at improving the techniques for monitoring and
controlling cardiac diseases becomes even more valuable, and is
also a differential for the success of manned missions. The
dissertation in question studies a mathematical model that
simulates human cardiac dynamics that, according to the choice of
parameters, may present periodic behavior (relative to a normal
Electrocardiogram signal) or chaotic (relative to an
electrocardiogram signal indicative of cardiopathy). With the
system in a state similar to atrial fibrillation, control
techniques were tested and a new one was developed.",
