             abstract = "A polui{\c{c}}{\~a}o do ar tornou-se um dos fatores que mais 
                         afetam a qualidade de vida da popula{\c{c}}{\~a}o, ocasionando 
                         preju{\'{\i}}zos a sa{\'u}de humana e ao meio ambiente. 
                         Emiss{\~o}es de gases por ve{\'{\i}}culos automotores 
                         comprometem significativamente a qualidade do ar na Regi{\~a}o 
                         Metropolitana do Vale do Para{\'{\i}}ba por liberarem grande 
                         quantidade de mon{\'o}xido de carbono, {\'o}xidos de 
                         nitrog{\^e}nio (os quais s{\~a}o precursores do oz{\^o}nio 
                         troposf{\'e}rico) e di{\'o}xido de enxofre. Estudos 
                         epidemiol{\'o}gicos brasileiros compravam que gases e material 
                         particulado s{\~a}o fatores respons{\'a}veis pela 
                         incid{\^e}ncia de doen{\c{c}}as al{\'e}rgicas e asma 
                         br{\^o}nquica em uma expressiva parcela da popula{\c{c}}{\~a}o. 
                         O presente estudo demonstra a rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o direta existente 
                         entre a diminui{\c{c}}{\~a}o do tr{\'a}fego de 
                         ve{\'{\i}}culos pesados e consequentemente ve{\'{\i}}culos 
                         leves durante a greve dos caminhoneiros no per{\'{\i}}odo de 21 
                         a 31 de maio de 2018, bem como uma semana anterior e uma semana 
                         posterior ao evento, e a concentra{\c{c}}{\~a}o de poluentes 
                         atmosf{\'e}ricos na Regi{\~a}o Metropolitana do Vale do 
                         Para{\'{\i}}ba. Os resultados das concentra{\c{c}}{\~o}es de 
                         CO, O3, NO, NO2 e SO2 foram avaliados na forma de ciclos diurnos e 
                         m{\'e}dias di{\'a}rias comparando os anos de 2017 e 2016 (sem 
                         greve) com 2018 (com greve) durante o mesmo per{\'{\i}}odo. Para 
                         representar diferentes condi{\c{c}}{\~o}es de 
                         exposi{\c{c}}{\~a}o {\`a}s diferentes fontes veiculares, foram 
                         escolhidas quatro esta{\c{c}}{\~o}es de monitoramento da 
                         qualidade do ar da CETESB: S{\~a}o Jos{\'e} dos Campos, S{\~a}o 
                         Jos{\'e} dos Campos - Jardim Sat{\'e}lite, Taubat{\'e} e 
                         Guaratinguet{\'a}. Neste estudo tamb{\'e}m foi-se empregado o 
                         modelo Weather Research and Forecasting with Chemistry, sistema de 
                         modelagem da atmosfera com a finalidade de proporcionar 
                         entendimento a cerca da precis{\~a}o do modelo sobre o 
                         per{\'{\i}}odo de estudo sem a entrada for{\c{c}}ada dos dados 
                         da CETESB. Durante o per{\'{\i}}odo da greve, ocorreu 
                         redu{\c{c}}{\~a}o intensa nos poluentes prim{\'a}rios avaliados 
                         (sendo os maiores valores obtidos para S{\~a}o Jos{\'e} dos 
                         Campos: NO - 220%, SO2 - 130%, NO2 - 130%), diretamente associados 
                         {\`a} emiss{\~a}o veicular. Houve aumento de oz{\^o}nio (com 
                         maior valore tamb{\'e}m obtido para a cidade de S{\~a}o 
                         Jos{\'e} dos Campos: 554%) o qual esta diretamente relacionado a 
                         diminui{\c{c}}{\~a}o de NO. ABSTRACT: Pollution becomes one of 
                         the factors that most affect the populations quality of life, 
                         causing damage to human health and the environment. Gas emissions 
                         from motor vehicles compromised with the quality of the 
                         Metropolitan Region of Vale do Para{\'{\i}}ba, releasing large 
                         amounts of carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides (which are the 
                         precursors of tropospheric ozone) and sulfur dioxide. Brazilian 
                         epidemiological studies understand that gases and particulate 
                         materials are responsible for the incidence of allergic diseases 
                         and bronchial asthma in a significant portion of the population. 
                         The present study demonstrates a direct relationship between heavy 
                         vehicle traffic and, consequently, light vehicles during a period 
                         from May 21 to May 31, 2018, on trucks between May 21 and 31, 
                         2018, as well as a previous week and one week after the event, and 
                         the concentration of air pollutants in the Metropolitan Region of 
                         Vale do Para{\'{\i}}ba. The results of the analysis of CO, O 
                         textubscript 3, NO, NO textubscript 2 and SO textubscript 2 were 
                         used in the form of day cycles and social media compared between 
                         the years 2017 and 2016 (without interruption) with 2018 (with 
                         strike) during the same period. To select different exposure 
                         conditions for different vehicle sources, four CETESB quality 
                         monitoring stations were selected: S{\~a}o Jos{\'e} dos Campos, 
                         S{\~a}o Jos{\'e} dos Campos - Jardim Sat{\'e}lite, Taubat{\'e} 
                         and Guaratinguet{\'a}. The Meteorological Survey and 
                         Meteorological Model with Chemistry was also used in this study, 
                         an atmosphere modeling system using criteria of understanding and 
                         approximation of model precision over the study period without 
                         forced data entry from CETESB. During the strike period, there was 
                         an intense reduction in the primary pollutants evaluated (the 
                         highest values obtained for S{\~a}o Jos{\'e} dos Campos: NO - 
                         220 %, SO textsubscript 2 - 130 %, NO textsubscript 2 - 130 %), 
                         directly associated with vehicular emission. There was an increase 
                         in ozone (with higher value also obtained for the city of S{\~a}o 
                         Jos{\'e} dos Campos: 554 %) which is directly related to a 
                         decrease in NO.",
