             abstract = "A abordagem de classifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o baseada em objetos 
                         representa um novo paradigma no processamento de imagens de altas 
                         resolu{\c{c}}{\~o}es espaciais, espectrais e temporais, e a 
                         constru{\c{c}}{\~a}o de objetos baseia-se na 
                         segmenta{\c{c}}{\~a}o das imagens. A an{\'a}lise de imagens 
                         baseada em objetos (GEOBIA - Geographic Object-Based Image 
                         Analysis) apresenta m{\'e}todos capazes de explorar, al{\'e}m de 
                         atributos espectrais, elementos como textura, forma ou contexto. 
                         Existem aplica{\c{c}}{\~o}es que buscam melhorar o desempenho 
                         computacional com solu{\c{c}}{\~o}es sequenciais e 
                         distribu{\'{\i}}das, ou programas como TerraView que abordam o 
                         uso de sistemas gerenciadores de banco de dados. Este trabalho 
                         prop{\~o}e explorar especifica{\c{c}}{\~o}es de 
                         aplica{\c{c}}{\~o}es para integrar o Sistema Gerenciador de 
                         Banco de Dados (SGBD) PostgreSQL/PostGIS e o classificador 
                         Object-Based Image Analysis (OBIA) do InterIMAGE Desktop para 
                         processamento de grandes imagens orbitais. O m{\'e}todo 
                         apresentado {\'e} expans{\'{\i}}vel no uso da biblioteca 
                         TerraLib 5, com linguagem de programa{\c{c}}{\~a}o C++. Os 
                         experimentos realizados com as representa{\c{c}}{\~o}es 
                         matriciais (raster) indicaram a viabilidade das 
                         aplica{\c{c}}{\~o}es e podem se consolidar sob a forma de 
                         processos de armazenamento e processamento da 
                         segmenta{\c{c}}{\~a}o no SGBD. ABSTRACT: The object-oriented 
                         classification approach represents a new paradigm in the image 
                         processing of high spatial, spectral, and temporal resolutions, 
                         and the construction of objects is based on the image 
                         segmentation. The object-based image analysis (GEOBIA - Geographic 
                         Object-Based ImageAnalysis) presents methods capable of exploring, 
                         in addition to spectral attributes, elements such as texture, 
                         shape, or context. The solutions aim better computational 
                         performance in applications with sequential and distributed 
                         solutions, but few address the use of database management systems. 
                         This work proposes to explore application specifications to 
                         integrate the PostgreSQL / PostGIS Database Management System 
                         (DBMS) and the InterIMAGE Desktop Object-Based ImageAnalysis OBIA 
                         classifier for processing large orbital images. The presented 
                         method is expandable in the use of the TerraLib 5 library, with C 
                         ++ programming language. The experiments performed with the raster 
                         representations indicated the feasibility of the applications and 
                         can be consolidated in the form of storage processes and 
                         segmentation processing in the DBMS.",
