                         sistemas espaciais {\'e} a radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o que provoca 
                         efeitos de curto e longo prazo em sistemas e componentes 
                         eletr{\^o}nicos.Neste sentido a solu{\c{c}}{\~a}o {\'e} 
                         utilizar componentes resistentes e tolerantes {\`a} 
                         radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o. H{\'a} algumas d{\'e}cadas os componentes 
                         COTS (Commercial Off-The Shelf), vem suprindo fun{\c{c}}{\~o}es 
                         que os componentes espaciais n{\~a}o t{\^e}m. Devido ao fato dos 
                         componentes de prateleira (COTS) n{\~a}o serem desenvolvidos para 
                         o ambiente espacial, estes n{\~a}o possuem garantia de 
                         funcionamento principalmente em rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o {\`a} 
                         radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o. Desta forma a presente 
                         disserta{\c{c}}{\~a}o busca desenvolver um entendimento da 
                         radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o e seus efeitos nos componentes 
                         eletr{\^o}nicos, em especial transistores, sendo similar para os 
                         demais componentes semicondutores, e desenvolver um m{\'e}todo de 
                         sele{\c{c}}{\~a}o e integra{\c{c}}{\~a}o do componente ao 
                         sistema de forma a aumentar a confiabilidade do componente 
                         juntamente com o sistema no qual est{\'a} integrado de acordo com 
                         a miss{\~a}o pretendida. Como estudo de caso ser{\'a} analisado 
                         o comportamento de transistores COTS expostos {\`a} 
                         radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o ionizante para demonstrar os par{\^a}metros 
                         afetados e a sua resist{\^e}ncia {\`a} radia{\c{c}}{\~a}o, 
                         avaliando como se comportaria no ambiente espacial. Por fim, 
                         ser{\'a} analisado o m{\'e}todo proposto em rela{\c{c}}{\~a}o 
                         ao estudo de caso. Desta forma, com a utiliza{\c{c}}{\~a}o 
                         correta do componente COTS possibilita-se unir o 
                         benef{\'{\i}}cio de utiliza{\c{c}}{\~a}o deste componente com 
                         o aumento de confiabilidade e vida {\'u}til do sistema. ABSTRACT: 
                         The space environment is harsh and radiation is the main problem 
                         for space systems which causes short and long term effects on 
                         electronic systems and components. In this case the key is to use 
                         resistant components and tolerant to radiation. The COTS 
                         components (Commercial Off-The Shelf) for some decades has been 
                         supplying some characteristic functions that space components do 
                         not have. However, because components (COTS) are not designed for 
                         the space environment, they are not guaranteed to function 
                         primarily due to radiation. Thus this research dissertation 
                         developed an understanding of the radiation and its effects on 
                         electronic components, especially transistors and in other 
                         semiconductor components, and develop a method of selection and 
                         component integration into the system in order to increase the 
                         reliability of the electronic component and the system in which it 
                         is integrated according to the intended mission. As a study case, 
                         it will be analyzed the behavior of COTS transistors exposed to 
                         ionizing radiation to demonstrate the affected parameters and 
                         their resistance to radiation, evaluating how they would behave in 
                         the space environment. Finally, the proposed method will be 
                         discussed in relation to the study case. Thus, with the correct 
                         use of the COTS component, it is possible to combine the benefit 
                         of using this component with adequate reliability and system life 
                         cycle.",
