             abstract = "This work presents a land use and cover change (LUCC) spatial 
                         dynamics model developed for the operationalization of the main 
                         procedures involved in the LUCC dynamics modelling such as: 
                         transition rates estimation and landscape dynamics processes 
                         mapping, generation of transition probabilities maps based on 
                         logistic regression and spatial allocation of the LUCC transitions 
                         with deterministic cellular automata and stochastic patches 
                         formation functions. The modular structure of the LanDSCAM model 
                         and its open source characteristic facilitate the modification and 
                         adaptation of this new LUCC and scenario generation model, which 
                         at this present study involved the following LUCC processes: 
                         forest degradation, grassland degradation, regeneration, 
                         intensification, extensification, silviculture expansion and 
                         urbanization. RESUMO Este trabalho apresenta um modelo de 
                         din{\^a}mica especial de mudan{\c{c}}as de uso e cobertura da 
                         terra (MUCT) desenvolvido para a implementa{\c{c}}{\~a}o dos 
                         principais procedimentos envolvidos na modelagem din{\^a}mica de 
                         MUCT, tais como: c{\'a}lculo das demandas de 
                         transi{\c{c}}{\~a}o e gera{\c{c}}{\~a}o de mapas de 
                         transi{\c{c}}{\~o}es, gera{\c{c}}{\~a}o de mapas de 
                         probabilidade de transi{\c{c}}{\~a}o, fun{\c{c}}{\~o}es de 
                         aloca{\c{c}}{\~a}o espacial din{\^a}mica das mudan{\c{c}}as 
                         com fun{\c{c}}{\~o}es de aut{\^o}mato celular 
                         determin{\'{\i}}stico e de forma{\c{c}}{\~a}o de manchas 
                         aleat{\'o}rias, ferramentas para a calibra{\c{c}}{\~a}o e 
                         valida{\c{c}}{\~a}o dos modelos. A estrutura modular do LandSCAM 
                         e sua caracter{\'{\i}}stica de c{\'o}digo-aberto facilitam 
                         modifica{\c{c}}{\~o}es e adapta{\c{c}}{\~o}es desse novo 
                         modelo de din{\^a}mica de uso e cobertura e prognose de 
                         cen{\'a}rios, que no presente estudo de caso envolveram os 
                         seguintes processos de MUCT: degrada{\c{c}}{\~a}o florestal, 
                         degrada{\c{c}}{\~a}o de campos, regenera{\c{c}}{\~a}o, 
                         intensifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o, extensifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o, 
                         expans{\~a}o da silvicultura e urbaniza{\c{c}}{\~a}o.",
