		<abstract>Este trabalho propõe o desenvolvimento de um modelo empírico de previsão climática, a partir de dados de reanálise obtidos da base de dados do NCEP-NOAA, utilizando um modelo de rede neural com treinamento supervisionado. Neste trabalho a rede neural é formulada como um problema de otimização para configurar uma topologia ótima para uma rede Perceptron de Múltiplas Camadas (MLP).</abstract>
