| Resumo | In order to improve the quality of CBERS (China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite) Program, the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), through the General Coordination for Earth Observation (OBT) and the Image Generation Division (DGI) launched on September 12, 2007, the "1st Survey on the Profile of Users of CBERS Satellite Data". This publication presents the results of this survey. Detailed description of CBERS´users profile is presented. It also includes the image applications, the degree of users satisfaction with the services provided, and the quality of the images received. In addition, it contains the survey on the characterization of participating users, indicators for management, and the quality of CBERS images. The annexes contain the forms used for survey and other relevant information. Considering that there were 15,007 active users at the time the survey was launched, and that 3,471 users answered the survey, the sampling error was estimated to be ±1.5% at a 95% confidence level. The results of this research will guide the improvement of the processes, products and services provided by DGI and CBERS Program to society. | |||
