Abstract | Following Hollerbach's work (1996) hydromagnetic free shear layers are analyzed when the applied magnetic field is perpendicular to both the rotation vector and vertical free shear layers. Analytical solutions have been obtained for the shear layer and interior regions. The physical features of the flow are discussed with special emphasis on meridional flow of electric current flux. |
