| Abstract | Relacionaram-se as variabilidades sazonal e interanual das precipitações em grupos homogêneos na Amazônia Oriental com os eventos de TSM no Pacífico Equatorial. Tabelas de contingência 3 x 3, avaliadas pelo escore das Características Operacionais Relativas, foram usadas para investigar as ocorrências simultâneas e defasadas de até 12 meses das 3 categorias de precipitação (abaixo, quase e acima da normal) em 3 regiões homogêneas definidas na da Amazônia Oriental (Nordeste, Noroeste e Sul) e os eventos de TSM no Pacífico (La Niña, normal e El Niño). As precipitações nos grupos Nordeste e Noroeste sofrem influencias nos 1°, 2º e 4° trimestres do ano. Observou-se que a influência do Pacífico é maior no período chuvoso dos grupos. O grupo Noroeste é o mais influenciado e neste grupo as precipitações acima da normal estão significativamente relacionadas com os eventos La Niña, simultaneamente e defasadas de até 9 meses, e precipitações abaixo da normal com os ventos El Niño, simultaneamente e com defasagem de 3 meses no 1° e 2° trimestres do ano. ABSTRACT: The seasonal and interannual rainfall variabilities in the Eastern Amazonia were related to the Equatorial Pacific SST events. 3 x 3 contingency tables, evaluated by the Relative Operating Characteristics Score were used to check the simultaneous and up to 12 months lagged occurrence of 3 rainfall categories (below, near and above normal) in 3 homogeneous regions defined in the Eastern Amazonia (Northeastern, Northwestern and Southern), and Pacific SST events (La Niña, normal and El Niño). The rainfall in the Northeastern and Northwestern groups are influenced in the 1st, 2nd and 4th quarter of the year. The Pacific influence is great in the rainy season of the groups. The Northwestern group is the most influenced, and in this group, above normal rainfall is significantly related to La Niña events, simultaneously and lagged up to 9 months and below normal rainfall with El Niño events, simultaneously and 3 months lagged in the 1st and 2nd quarter of the year. |
